Pine longcase clock from Cornwall
£780 - Now Sold
A great example of a traditional pine longcase clock common to Cornwall in the 19th century. This has turned columns either side of the arched clock case, barley twist column details to the main body and shaped base plinth.
The clock has gilt finish hands, and the hand-painted decoration around the clock face depicts a sailing boat flying the Dutch flag, and different castles.
It’s in good working order, including chimes, but this type of clock needs to sit level to work and it needs to be re-set after it’s been moved.
