Farmhouse settle

This beautiful, old oak settle was custom made for a farmhouse on Dartmoor, and has been in use there for over 100 years.

The unusual design includes an open slatted back to the seating bench, a shelf at half height, and hand-carved frieze and decorative finials at the top.

A thorough clean revealed great depth and richness in the wood. This is a characterful and quite unique piece of furniture, which would look amazing in a hallway.
